About The Writer : Paulo Coelho was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1947. Before he devoted himself to writing, he practiced theater director, acting and worked as a lyric author and journalist. He has written lyrics for many Brazilian singers like Elis Regina, Rita Lee Raul Cixas, in over 60 songs. His passion for spiritual worlds started from his youth as a prestige, when the world toured in search of secret societies and religions of the East. He published his first book in 1982, entitled “Archive of Hell,” which was unsuccessful. His fate followed other works, and then in 1986 Coelho made the pilgrimage to St. James’s shrine in Compostela. The one that he later documented in his book “The Hajj”. The following year the book “The Alchemist” was published, and the publisher almost abandoned it at first, but it soon became one of the most important and best-selling Brazilian novels. Won first place between nine and twenty countries. And he received many accolades and estimates.
