عن الكاتب : الطيب صالح – أو “عبقري الرواية العربية” كما جرى بعض النقاد على تسميته- أديب عربي من السودان، اسمه الكامل الطيب محمد صالح أحمد. ولد عام (1348 هـ – 1929م) في إقليم مروي شمالي السودان بقرية كَرْمَكوْل بالقرب من قرية دبة الفقراء وهي إحدى قرى قبيلة الركابية التي ينتسب إليها، وتوفي في أحدي مستشفيات العاصمة البريطانية لندن التي أقام فيها في ليلة الأربعاء 18 /فبراير 2009 الموافق 23 صفر 1430 هـ. عاش مطلع حياته وطفولته في ذلك الإقليم، وفي شبابه انتقل إلى الخرطوم لإكمال دراسته فحصل من جامعتها على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم. سافر إلى إنجلترا حيث واصل دراسته، وغيّر تخصصه إلى دراسة الشؤون الدولية السياسية

About The Writer : Al-Tayeb Salih – or “the genius of the Arabic novel” as some critics have called him – is an Arab writer from Sudan, whose full name is Tayeb Muhammad Salih Ahmed. He was born in (1348 AH – 1929 AD) in the Meroe region in northern Sudan, in the village of Karmakol near the village of Dibba al-Foora, one of the villages of the Rakabiya tribe to which he belongs, and died in a hospital in the British capital, London, in which he stayed on the night of Wednesday 18 February 2009 corresponding to 23 Safar 1430 E. He lived at the beginning of his life and childhood in that region, and in his youth he moved to Khartoum to complete his studies and obtained a bachelor’s degree in science from its university. He traveled to England, where he continued his studies, and changed his major to study international political affairs
