عن الكاتب : كاتب و شاعر و أديب من مواليد عمّان، الأردن،عام 1954م من أبوين فلسطينيين، هُجِّرا من أرضهما في قريةالبريج (فلسطين)،28 كم غربي القدس عام 1948م، يعتبر اليوم واحدا من أكثر الكتاب العرب تأثيرا وانتشارا، حيث تتوالى الطبعات الجديدة من كتبه سنويا، محققة حضورا بارزا لدى القارئ العربي والناقد أيضا، ومن الافت هذا الإقبال الكبير من فئة الشباب على رواياته وأشعاره، كما تحظى أعماله بترجمات إلى لغات مختلفة، وإلى ذلك الكتب النقدية الصادرة عن تجربته، ورسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه المكرسة لدراسه انتاجه في الجامعات العربية والأجنبية
الموضوع : في رواية (سيرة عين) تحضر شخصية المصوِّرة الفلسطينية الرائدة كريمة عبود (1893 – 1940)، على أكثر من مستوى: ففي النصف الأول من القرن الماضي، استطاعت كريمة عبود أن تخترق واقعًا نمطيًا احتكر فيه الرجال فن التصوير الفوتوغرافي، وبهذا استحقت أن تنال لقب رائدة التصوير في فلسطين والعالم العربي، واستطاعت أن تحقق المعنى العميق للصورة باعتبارها فنًا، وهذا ما رسّخ ريادتها أكثر؛ هذه الريادة التي باتت موضع تقدير في العالم كله اليوم. واستطاعت كريمة أن تخترق الواقع الاجتماعي بتمرّدها على الصورة التقليدية للمرأة، وهي تحقق حضورها القوي كفتاة وامرأة قادرة على انتزاع حريتها وانتزاع الاعتراف بحقها، بحيث يمكن أن نعتبرها واحدة من النهوضيات اللواتي حققن حرية المرأة قولًا وفعلًا
وإذا كانت هذه الرواية عن ذلك كله، فهي أيضًا عن فن التصوير نفسه، وحكاية عائلة أصيبت في أعمق أعماقها بلعنة الاستعمار البريطاني الذي ابتليت بهما فلسطين

Subject : In the novel (An Eye Biography), the pioneering Palestinian photographer Karima Abboud (1893-1940) is present on more than one level: In the first half of the last century, Karima Abboud was able to penetrate a stereotypical reality in which men monopolized the art of photography, and thus she deserved to obtain the title The pioneer of photography in Palestine and the Arab world, and she was able to achieve the deep meaning of the image as an art, and this is what cemented her leadership even more.
